The Diabetes Education and Camping Association (DECA) brings together camps, health professionals, and community leaders from around the world who believe in the power of diabetes camps and programming.
Whether your program is exclusively for people with diabetes, serves people with diverse health needs, or does not include a specific medical focus, DECA provides tools, resources, and connections to help your team provide safe, meaningful camp experiences.
Membership Categories
Diabetes Camp Member
This membership is for camps and organizations whose primary mission is to serve children and adults living with diabetes. It includes all DECA member benefits.
Diabetes Camp Benefits
Connection – Network with camp leaders, healthcare providers, and peers around the world
Education – Access to webinars, trainings, case studies, our online resource library, and access to early bird conference price
Visibility – Be listed in our “Find a Camp” directory, reaching families, staff, and funders
Support – Access to funding, expanded supply donations and scholarship opportunities (currently for US-based camps)
Associate Member (Allied/Traditional Camps/Organizations)
This membership is for camps that serve children and adults with diabetes as part of a broader population.

Resources – Scalable, medical intake templates for diabetes-specific questions, supply checklists for supporting children with diabetes
Support – Access to DECA’s diabetes care and safety guidelines
Connection – Network with camp leaders, healthcare providers, and peers around the world
Education – Access to webinars, trainings, case studies, and access to early bird conference price
2026 Membership Dues
Renewal Timeline
DECA Membership is based on the calendar year, January – December.
Renew by December 15th each year to ensure uninterrupted benefits.
Accessibility: “Camperships”
We want every camp serving youth with diabetes to have access to a DECA membership. Please reach out if your organization is interested in a membership but is currently unable to enroll due to financial barriers.
