Every year young adults join us for a weekend experience that includes making great friends, fun activities, guest speakers, and open discussions. This is a valuable weekend that helps any young adult managing type 1 diabetes make meaningful connections to help them cope with T1D struggles. You will meet adult type 1’s who share their expertise is a variety of subject areas and how type 1 has impacted their life. They will learn valuable life lessons from these mentors and from each other. Winter Retreat is a great time to get away from the stress of school, activities, friends and family. They simply have a blast together. Scholarship applications are due by July 2023. You do not need to pay anything to register.
