Are you a visionary leader with a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals impacted by diabetes? The Diabetes Education & Camping Association (DECA),is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide strategic leadership and management to drive the execution of DECA’s mission and goals, uniting and advancing the diabetes camp community.
As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of DECA, including public relations, financial management, organizational efficiency, and office administration. You will serve as a national voice for DECA, engaging stakeholders across diverse platforms and building partnerships within the diabetes community. Additionally, you will lead, coach, and develop our staff and volunteer team, ensuring alignment with our strategic vision and goals.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of professional experience in a sector that partners with those impacted by a health condition or related field, with leadership experience preferred. Experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and program development is essential, along with a strong understanding of the complexities of diabetes education and camping. If you are a strategic thinker, excellent communicator, and passionate advocate for improving the lives of individuals with diabetes, we encourage you to apply.
