Family Camp at Camp Ho Mita Koda is a fun 3 day/2 night, getaway for families who have a child diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Families will have a chance to relax, reconnect as a family, and develop friendships with other families who truly understand the challenges that a T1D diagnosis presents. We welcome all families who have a child 17 years of age or younger that have been diagnosed with T1D. Our program is adaptive and inclusive to serve all ability levels. Family Camp is the ultimate opportunity to experience the magic of summer camp at CHMK as a family! Through a specifically designed program, each family will be led through a session by the CHMK staff that includes a good balance of family time, kid interaction, adult socializing, off-the-wall fun, and the stillness of a spiritual retreat. Getting outside of the city will allow us all to turn the cell phones off, leave our computers, and enjoy valuable time as a family.
