    The Mission of the Nevada Diabetes Association and California Diabetes Association is to improve the lives of children and adults affected by diabetes through prevention, education and service. The goal of the NDA and CDA is to provide programming that will help avoid complications that this disease causes for children and adults. We offer diabetes education camping programs, diabetes support programs, diabetes seminars/ workshops, printed and electronic diabetes educational resources, emergency insulin and diabetes supply programming.

    4th annual Bowling Event

    Event For teens with dibetes and a friend to learn about very age appropriate topics and also enjoy the company of the oher T1D kids in the same age range and grow a sense of community with their local teens in the area. These events have helped teens with deal with the pressures of being a teenager along with the pressures of living with this disease. 

    Teen Picnic

    Camp Vegas

    • Dates: March 26, 2018 to March 30, 2018
    • Audience: Youth & Teen
    • Program Type: Overnight Camp

    Camp Vegas for campers 7-14 and CITs 15-17. This over night camp is just outside of the city limits of Las Vegas. Enjoy themed weeks, day trips, medical managment from all local endo offices and much more. This is a perfect camp for those kids that have never been away from home. 

    Terry Lee Wells Family Camp

    • Audience: Families of Youth & Teen
    • Program Type: Overnight Camp

    Family Camp is perfect for the whole family, neighbors and friends...anyone that helps with the management of your diabetic child. Adults learn in a casual setting about various diabetes topics. Topic may include: carb counting, diet, theraphists, pump training, school infomation, ketone monitoring and much more.  Kids will enjoy various activities from arts and crafts to archery.  Daily families will intermingle with other families and enjoy activities as zip lines, snow shoeing, snow mobiling and much more.  If you are a family that is newly dianosed or a family that wants to tone up their diabetes stills, this camp is for you. 

    San Jose Day Camp

    • Dates: June 25, 2018 to June 29, 2018
    • Audience: Youth
    • Program Type: Day Camp - Multi Days

    The San Jose 5 Day- Day Camp is a great summer week program for families that have both diabetic and non diabetic children. Ages for this camp are 5-12. Come have some "summer" fun at the beach, mini golf, ice skating and much more. Friends and siblings of those that are diabetic will learn what need to be done to sucessful manage diabetes in their everyday lives while having fun! Parent/ Guardian/ Adult sections daily with diabetes community professions with featured topics.  This camp provided education and support for the whole family!

    Camp Buck

    • Dates: July 29, 2018 to August 04, 2018
    • Audience: Youth & Teen
    • Program Type: Overnight Camp

    NDA/ CDA Premire Program for campers ages 7-14 and CIT programs 15-17. Nessled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains just north of Lake Tahoe, the goals of Camp Buck are to educate, establish confidence and build leadership. A week long resident camp takes campers for all over the United States. 

    Teen Camp

    • Audience: Teen
    • Program Type: Overnight Camp

    Teen camp is for ages 12-17 both T1D and T2D. This Halloween themed camp is perfect for younge adult education while getting the needed support from your teen peers.
