Children and Youth with Type 1 Diabetes can enjoy all of the fun of summer camp while learning more about living with diabetes. One of the great things for the camper is that living with diabetes is the norm for the week, so everyone counts carbs, checks blood sugars, and tries to balance food, insulin, exercise, and loads of fun. Campers are encouraged to develop age appropriate responsibilities for maintaining their diabetes.
Are you ready to lead? Do you want to make new friends, acquire new skills, and learn more about yourself and others? Campers will have the opportunity to practice leadership skills during their week as a leadership camper, by leading bible study, participating in a service project, and leading games for some of our younger campers. This session provides opportunities for some self exploration, while still enjoying all of the fun of camp! Join us for this fun and rewarding experience!!
Children with Type 1 Diabetes can enjoy all of the fun of camp during this shorter, \\\"beginners\\\" session for our younger campers. Campers will participate in activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, fun games, nature study, canoeing and more during this 2 night/3 day medically staffed session.
