New: Extra Day Added! Middle Shots designed for ages 10-13, is the campers first taste of resident camp. Middle shots is a great place for kids to bond and make friendships that last a lifetime through fun-filled camp activities. This weekend session is perfect for any campers who are nervous about leaving home for a full week, and goes by faster than you can say \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"More s'mores please!\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"
Campers aged 13-17 will make friends that they will cherish for a lifetime. There is something for everyone from canoeing, crafts, archery, a 50 ft alpine tower, an in-ground swimming pool and diving well, and so much more! In honor of the 2024 theme Olympics, we will end the week with a DYS Toga Party!
Introductory experience for children aged 5-10. In addition to games, crafts and fun activities, our campers learn tools to help them manage their diabetes independently. Campers are engaged with diabetes education, cooking classes, and fun activities that keep campers coming back year after year!

Little Shots Michigan is an especially unique program due to its location; ProMedica Farms is a working farm allowing campers to plant, harvest, and try fresh produce. We are also located next to a brand new YMCA with a swimming pool and playground for campers to enjoy.
Every year young adults join us for a weekend experience that includes making great friends, fun activities, guest speakers, and open discussions. This is a valuable weekend that helps any young adult managing type 1 diabetes make meaningful connections to help them cope with T1D struggles. You will meet adult type 1’s who share their expertise is a variety of subject areas and how type 1 has impacted their life. They will learn valuable life lessons from these mentors and from each other. Winter Retreat is a great time to get away from the stress of school, activities, friends and family. They simply have a blast together. Scholarship applications are due by October 15, 2024. There is a $10 fee to register.
