    Camp Nejeda has been providing empowering summer camp and other programs for children with type 1 diabetes and their families since 1958. In addition to providing eight weeks of traditional Summer Sleep-Away camp, Camp Nejeda offers Family Camps, Day Camps, Spring and Fall weekend programs, T1D Adult Weekend, Nurse Education seminars and much more.     Mini Shots Day Camp

    Kids with type 1 diabetes have been calling Camp Nejeda their home away from home since 1958, returning each summer for a fun experience and a chance to just be kids with without having the worries associated with living with type 1 diabetes. Camp Nejeda's Day Camp programs bring the tradition of summer camp fun to you! Campers will enjoy outdoor games, activities, and field trips while under the supervision of our counselors and medical staff.

    BFF Weekend - Spring

    BFF Weekend is a weekend program for children with diabetes to bring their sibling or best friend with them to camp! Whether used as an introduction to Camp Nejeda's summer programs or simply used as a time to share the experience with others - this weekend is for the child with diabetes AND their sibling or friend. We pack as many of our outstanding summer program aspects as we can into a fun-filled weekend!

    June Family Camp

    Family Camps are a fun mini-vacation for the whole family and are a great introduction to the Camp Nejeda experience for young children and newly diagnosed children. They also provide a peek into camp life for parents and siblings. Camp Nejeda's Family Camp Programs recognize that managing diabetes can be challenging for the entire family. Lots of fun family friendly camp activities are supplemented with opportunities for parents, kids and siblings to meet and talk with other people who share their unique challenges.The Family Camp fee includes housing (one family/cabin) and all food and program expenses for a family of four; additional persons, $75/ pp

    Camp Nejeda Session 1

    Camp Nejeda's summer sleep-away camp sessions include two one-week sessions and three two-week sessions.     Bootcamp Weekend is a fun and interactive experience designed to empower adults with type 1 diabetes. The weekend includes a full schedule of knowledgeable speakers who professional and personal insight on living with type 1 diabetes because all bootcamp speakers have T1D too. Topics include Diabetes Burnout, Reducing the Barriers to Diabetes, Exercise and Weight, Interactive Cooking and Nutrition, Diabetes Technology Update, the Bionic Pancreas and more. Survive and Thrive Bootcamp offers a life-changing opportunity for adults with type 1 diabetes to connect with their peers and learn strategies to face the daily demands of living with diabetes. There’s time in the schedule for some crazy camp fun too! Healthy meals and accommodations are included.Â
