Camp provides a fun and unique experience, inviting kids and their families to become part of a community where they can grow together. For nearly 70 years, we’ve run camps across the country serving over 100,000 children and their families. Camp is a lifeline for both children living with diabetes and those at high risk for developing type 2. We know first-hand how children respond to learning in a safe and fun environment. We believe every child should have the life-changing experience of summer camp.

Upcoming American Diabetes Association - Indiana Programs

    Camp John Warvel

    • Dates: June 02, 2019 to June 08, 2019
    • Audience: Youth & Teen
    • Program Type: Overnight Camp

Camp John Warvel was established in 1955 and has served over 9,000 campers. This summer we will host 190 campers at YMCA Camp Crosley, an American Camping Association certified camp. What is camp all about? Empowered adventure. This is the rally cry of Association Camp John Warvel.  We encourage each camper to learn something new about diabetes management but never force education. At Camp John Warvel we believe that you will take something away that is specific to your own stage of development. Meet new friends, have a blast and hopefully learn something new about yourself along the way.
