Camp Ho Mita Koda annual Open House will be celebrating our 85th anniversary of serving children living with diabetes.  Visitors can tour the camp, parents can meet with the staff and medical team and the kids and counselors have a blast. Weather permitting, the pool will be open so make plans now to attend. Registration is not required.

Camp Ho Mita Koda Session I
2014-07-06 to 2014-07-11

Audience: Youth
Program Type: Overnight Camp
ACA Accredited

Session I is a 6-day program for children ages 8-12 with diabetes. Campers will learn diabetes care and self management along with outdoor adventure and education. Campers will particiapte in daily activities including archery, arts & crafts, boating, canoeing, challenge course, horseback riding, paintball, swimming, music, dance, theater, hiking, team sports and many more.

Camp Ho Mita Koda Session II
2014-07-13 to 2014-07-18

Audience: Youth & Teen
Program Type: Overnight Camp
ACA Accredited

Session II is a 6-day program for children ages 12-15 with diabetes. Campers will learn diabetes care and self management along with outdoor adventure and education. Campers will experience activities include archery, arts & crafts, boating, canoeing, challenge course, horseback riding, paintball, swimming, music, dance, theater, hiking, team sports and many more.

Camp Ho Mita Koda Session III
2014-07-20 to 2014-08-01

Audience: Youth & Teen
Program Type: Overnight Camp
ACA Accredited

Session III is a 13-day program for teens ages 12-15 with diabetes. Campers will learn diabetes care and self management along with outdoor adventure and education. Campers will particiapte in daily activities including archery, arts & crafts, boating, canoeing, challenge course, horseback riding, paintball, swimming, music, dance, theater, hiking, team sports and many more.

Mini Camp
2014-08-02 to 2014-08-02

Audience: Youth
Program Type: Day Camp
ACA Accredited

Mini Camp is a program for children ages 4-10 with diabetes.  Children attend with at least one parent/guardian. Siblings between 4-10 years are welcome. Families will experience a typical summer residence camp day.  Activities include archery, arts & crafts, boating, challenge course, swimming, music, dance, theater, hiking, team sports and many more!

Teen Program
2014-09-13 to 2014-09-13

Audience: Teen
Program Type: Single Day Event
ACA Accredited

This program focuses on healthy lifestyle choices for teens ages 14-17 with diabetes. Topics include dating, driving, reproductive health, first jobs, parties, and the effects that alcohol, illicit drugs, and tobacco have on diabetes.

And of course, there will also be some fun! The program will also include outdoor camp activities at the ropes course, lake, and hiking trails.
