NEW ORLEANS—With the impact of Superstorm Sandy still resonating, the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) will meet for the first time with emergency preparedness officials this week at the National Hurricane Conference in New Orleans. ACE will highlight advance planning opportunities for people with diabetes and distribute educational resources created through its partnership with Lilly Diabetes to help people avoid disruptions in care in emergency situations.

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. / INDIANAPOLIS — Today Lilly Diabetes recognized six years of supporting the American Diabetes Association’s (Association) camp scholarship fund by donating 90 scholarships—one for each year Lilly Diabetes has supported the needs of those living with the disease, beginning in 1923 when Lilly introduced the world's first commercial insulin.

INDIANAPOLIS  – In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Lilly Foundation is donating $200,000 to the American Red Cross in support of relief efforts in affected areas of the United States. Additionally, the foundation is contributing a $1 match for every dollar donated by Lilly employees to the American Red Cross or Salvation Army.
