How To Join

Here's a quick guide on how to join... DECA provides several types of memberships, listed as follows:

• Camp Membership
• Affiliate Camp Membership
• DECA Camp Staff Membership
• DECA Individual Membership
• IPAC Membership
• Lifetime Membership

To become an Individual Member, follow these steps:

• Fill out a Membership Application - From the home page of DECA website, scroll down to the Online Registrations section in the right column (below the blue box) / Click on the DECA Membership 2012 link and follow the instructions to complete the application.  Mark Camp Staff Member for the type of membership, which is a free membership.
  • If you have a CAMP you wish to also add in our Directory, then you need to also fill out the Camp Membership Application located there (Membership Tab, then "Apply! > Camp Membership").
    
• Register to use the website, creating an account - Follow the prompt after completing the DECA Membership 2012 OR go to the home page of the DECA website and click "Login" (top right hand corner of the page), then "No Account Yet?" / Create an account, then follow directions.  You will then be sent an email with a link to confirm your member registration. 
  • If you are a Camp Member, and have submitted your Camp Application, then login using your username and password and add your complete updated camp information  - Camp Directory tab.

Here is a brief description of each Membership category:

CAMP MEMBERSHIP

Diabetes Camp Membership may be granted to camps whose primary programs and services are provided to campers living with diabetes. Must have programs and services provided primarily to campers living with diabetes, defined as 85% of the total population with diabetes. Membership runs from the time paid until December 31st. See more info on camp memberships (Membership Tab > About Memberships). Click here to apply for a CAMP MEMBERSHIP.

Camp Membership Fees for 2012 are $100.  *If a camp is facing financial hardship, they can, during membership registration, check a financial hardship box and no fee will be charged.

AFFILIATE CAMP MEMBERSHIP

Interest in or serving some individuals with diabetes. General Member Benefits apply. In addition, camps will received unlimited individual memberships for camp staff and/or volunteers (online user registration required).  Click here to register as an Affiliate Member.

Affiliate Camp Membership Fees for 2012 are $75.

DECA CAMP STAFF MEMBERSHIP

Camp Staff Members are those who are current staff with a Member Camp. If your Camp is listed in our Camp Directory and you are a current staff member of a Member Camp, then you must register on our site for your username and password to access member downloads. Click here to register.

Camp Staff members must also submit a MEMBER APPLICATION (FREE) annually so we know your camp affiliation. Click here to submit your APPLICATION.

DECA INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

DECA Individual Memberships are for those not affiliated with a specific camp or those whose camp is not a member. General Member Benefits apply.

If you are a DECA member, you will need to register a username and password in order to access the Members Only Resources. This link can be found under the MEMBERSHIP tab in the main menu under MEMBERS ONLY REGISTRATION. Click here to register.

In addition to registering, DECA members are also required to complete an annual MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION. Click here to submit your APPLICATION.

Individual Membership Fees are $25.

IPAC MEMBERSHIP

Diabetes Industry Partners are uniquely important to DECA's mission.  Called "IPAC Partners" (Industry Partners Advisory Council), all IPAC Members serve as Advisors to DECA, are invited to attend board meetings, work to advance diabetes camping worldwide and help provide vital resources and education to camps and the children they serve. LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP
