boot camps 4 months, 2 weeks ago #17

I am looking for a camp for adults with Type 1 diabetes. maybe a weekend review or motivator to get a client back on track. Does anyone know of one in the SE part of our US??

There are a number of programs for adults with diabetes - perhaps not what one considers your average "camp." Depending on where the individual lives (and is willing to travel), whether they are interested in an active/adventure-based program, or would rather gather with adults in a motivational retreat setting - there are options (though sometimes not so easy to find). Here's some thoughts:

DTreat - DECA's young adult retreat (not yet scheduled for 2013 but keep checking website)

Camp Wild (Colorado - Mari Ruddy): teamwildathletics.com/camps-and-races/

Diabetes Behavioral Institute (San Diego): www.behavioraldiabetesinstitute.org/prog...hedule-diabetes.html

Also, many camps will offer year-round programs geared to family and adult groups. Try searching our camp database ("Find a Camp") using the keywords "Adult" (I'm not sure if anything will populate)
