Jamaica Welcomes DECA Conference in October 2010

DECA is excited to announce plans for the next International Camping Conference on October 21 – 24, 2010 at the Breezes Rio Bueno Resort & Spa in Trelawny, Jamaica.

Board member Violet Griffith and the host committee are busy with plans for an incredible conference addressing health care, administrative and program aspects of diabetes camp.  Experts from throughout the Islands along with other top diabetes camping professionals will present an array of workshops designed to enhance diabetes camping programs worldwide.

The conference cost for Regular Members and staff of Camp Members will be $425 (so, if you haven't joined DECA, do so today to save money).  The cost for Lifetime Members is $400 and the cost for non-members is $500.

The fees are inclusive of everything except airfare, including:

All meals, from breakfast buffets to dinner feasts.
Even late night snacks. All you can eat, all the time.
All drinks, from soft drinks to top-shelf premium brands.
All entertainment.
All tips & gratuities.
A host of land and water sports and top-of-the-line equipment.
All hotel taxes and airport transfers*

And MUCH, MUCH MORE!

 

Conference begins with dinner on the 21st and technically ends with the closing activity on the 23rd. People leave the morning of the 24th unless you are there for extended days.

TIPS ON REGISTRATION:

You may bring your (non-conference attending) spouse or guest for an additional $110 per night. If you are bringing a guest, choose "I am registering as an individual" and enter your guest's information on the registration form, as requested.

Camps that are registering multiple attendees, or DECA camp members that are registering together, should choose "I am registering as a group" if one credit card will be used for the registration.

You must register at least one conference attendee for each room that you book.

You may only use one credit card for each registration, so if you are registering multiple people, please arrange reimbursement within your group or camp.

All conference attendees have full access to all sessions, workshops and events.  Spouses and guests who are not registered conference attendees will not be able to attend these activities.

Registration and payment deadline will be August 10th, so plan accordingly for this exciting event.  And get your passport because it’s required!
