There’s really nothing better at Camp Conrad Chinnock than soaking up some sunshine, after slathering on the sunscreen at the pool.

In addition to learning new swimming strokes, fun activities abound like the diving and silliest jump contests, water balloon fights and relay races – by swimming of course.  Camp sessions have pool parties with snow cones and team volleyball in the pool.  There is no better day then to spend part of your day at the pool with your friends, and the awesome life guards.

No matter what camp you choose, swimming is a favorite activity at camp. Whether you are a new swimmer or a competitive freestyler, you’ll find the water warm and the activities fun in pools and lakes everywhere. Diabetes shouldn’t stop anyone from doing anything they chose as long as they manage their blood sugars carefully during exercise.

At the pool, blood glucose meters and treatment supplies are always available so you can get right back in the water after treating a low. There’s always a trained, enthusiastic staff member there to help and friends to encourage because they’ve been there before.
