Camp Possibilities is a camp for children with diabetes between the ages of 8 and 17 who, due to the complexity of diabetes management, often do not get the chance to go to a summer camp. Camp Possibilities gives children with diabetes the youthful experience of summer camp. We offer swimming, fishing, arts and crafts, basketball, field games, nature walks, talent shows, dances and many other activities. Camp Possibilities also educates their campers through dedicated support sessions that are informative and encouraging. Throughout any given day at camp, children will frequently interact with our medical staff and counselors where personalized information about managing diabetes is shared with them.

Camp Possibilities is an overnight camp for children with type 1 diabetes between the ages of 8 and 17 who, due to the complexity of diabetes management, often do not get the chance to go to a summer camp. While campers between the ages of 8 and 15 are considered campers, 16-and 17-year-old’s participate in the Leadership-in-Training program. Camp Possibilities welcomes a diverse population, and we foster an inclusive environment that is welcoming to all genders, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds. At Camp Possibilities, we offer swimming, fishing, arts and crafts projects, basketball, field games, a nature walk, talent show, dance and other activities. We hold dedicated diabetes education sessions at camp; however, these are intended only in the spirit of providing support, information and encouragement to our campers. Camp Possibilities is a camp for children with diabetes, not a diabetes boot camp.
